2005 Koufax Awards - The Winners

The winners of the 2005 Koufax Awards have been announced. Some friends are among them, and all of them are well deserved. Congratulations to all.

And Dwight: if there was any honor you folks at Wampum could bestow that outshone winning even a little, you did so in your incredibly touching remarks. I think I’m more touched than I’d be if I’d won a vote. Thank you.

I'm sorry, but the comment period for this entry has ended.

For Wampum to have honored both you, and that grumpy prof from penn state, in that way, really demonstrates the immeasureable qualities of your work and writing.  You are beyond the awards.  Congratulations.

Chris, I was happy to see you singled out by the Wampum folks and I’m glad you understand what an honor it is for them to hold you up as the gold standard for class.

Even though I voted for you in a couple of the categories, I have to say the winners were all fine in their own right and that, too, is a testament to how good you are at what you do.  Nuthin’ wrong with losing to people who are so damned good it is, indeed, something great to be in their league (or they in yours).

Sorry you didn’t win, Chris, but it was great what they said about you. As one recipient of your encouragement and praise, I can affirm the truth in their words.

Chris-- I’m glad for you, for being singled out for praise. You are one of the finest writers in the blogosphere, and you definitely earned those words. You are a mensch. Of that, I’m certain.

I too was happy to see what Dwight had written about you, and it reinforced my belief that you deserved the best commenter Sandy (it was actually the only category where I felt strongly enough about one nominee to vote).

*cough*DIebold*cough*
