A concession to the expected jollitude

I get to spend the next two weeks with Becky and Zeke doing not much of anything, so I’m in a mood to celebrate. This rendition by Los Lobos of a very, very solemn seasonal hymn may be all traditional and stuffy, but I like it nonetheless.

I'm sorry, but the comment period for this entry has ended.

Hey today is like, 7 seconds longer than yesterday, up here (that being the duration of official sunlight rather than the bleak light snow falling through a dull grey something).  That is huge news and worthy of all sorts of celebrating and jollitudinal expositions.  Maybe a small laser spinning over a copy of classic Los Lobos is a good idea.  Thanks

hope your break is very enjoyable!  please give zeke an ear rub from one of his adoring fans.

i’m pretty sure i just saw you and becky at the market [joshua tree cap?], but thought it would be weird being chatted up by a stranger in line.  also, i felt like a stalker, thinking i recognized someone from cyberspace in real life.

I would have loved to meet you, kathy. stalk away.

it’s the funniest thing, i see everyone at that store:  people i used to work with, former teachers of my kids, out-of-touch friends. i half-expect some kind of reunion when i walk in the door. next time, i won’t be so shy.

A Happy Lengthening Of Days to all.

Have a look here Chris.

That tune makes me homesick.

This is the bestest Christmas song ever. Too bad it’s not on YouTube. The Canadian duo Bowser and Blue do an excellent cover of it.
