he was a grand pup and glorious friend.

My own little old man is beginning to show his age.  He’ll be 16 in March, so it’s not a surprise, but I fear it.

Oh, Zeke.  What a beauty. And, ow.

Just to clarify, as a couple people have asked: today isn’t the anniversary of anything other than Zeke being photographed.

Well, and the signing of the Louisiana Purchase, and Vespasian marching into Rome. South Carolina seceding from the Union. Spud Davis’ birthday. And a few other things. But nothing Zeke-related.

Whenever I think of my buddy Tongass, I can’t help but think of Zeke. Your thoughts and feelings, and how you expressed them during Zeke’s final days were a comfort to me during Tongass’ final days. I just wanted to thank you.
