I don’t know whether to dance or cry; i choose both simultaneously. The churango and pipes brings me immediately back to a cantina in Arequipa, late one night, waiting for a bus to take us up to Cuzco. That music is so infectious and cell enhancing. It also reminds me that one of my very best life friends moved to Cuzco last year, and won’t return “el norte” again until 2007 or later. She is near and dear to me, and often calls from late night excursions, where in the background i can hear those songs. curse you diablo climbing baron.

Lovely music, but the video sucked.
Looked the band up in Wikipedia; interesting group. In 1981 they did an album called Palimpsesto. That means this site has been responsible for me seeing this word three times in the last month or so. Must mean something.

Sorry. I should have known that “Polar bear dances in blizzard with paw over nose” wasn’t a good call.
What it means, Rob, is that you need to go tell Rana not to quit blogging.

Hi Chris,
Enjoy your thoughtful and funny reflections on life with animals. We had an Indonesian Garter Snake or Striped Keelback or whatever we call those black-and-white-stripe-bellied guys. Sweet soul. I tried to do a little research about them and your blog came up.
Love the “Animals I’ve Been Bitten By” piece and relate perfectly to Zeke and Thistle. In our case we have Keeper and Maggie.

Spyder,
why did you write the words “curse you diablo climbing baron”?
What do they mean to you?
