Teaser indeed. Now I’ll have to subscribe to read the rest. Not that I don’t know who and what is going to get screwed in this, but still.

Heading east to Overton, and down into the Valley of Fire, one parks at the base of the twin white buttes at the furthest and deepest part of the park. Getting out of the vehicle, grabbing water and trail food, one makes their way into the back country of some of the most amazing and spiritually demanding parts of the Southwest. Billion years old earth in the lithosphere along the subduction zone of CA, standing as sentinels of the ancient peoples and the symbols they have left on the walls and caves. Mouse’s Tank, full of water, reminding everyone that radicals and anarchists have been around a long, long time fighting these sorts of personal battles against the demons of imperialism.

Hey, I was just reading your bio page… did you go to Calasanctius? My brother went there in the late 70s and early 80s.

Howdy, Jon! Yes, I am a Calasanctius survivor. I went there from 1968-1973. A couple other veterans lurk around here as well, including Dave Roycroft, who taught biology there for about a hundred years.
