Happy spring, everyone

I really shouldn’t be allowed in pet stores without adult supervision. Our new family member, below, was being offered for adoption by our local shelter. He’s nice. We don’t have a name yet. Suggestions welcome.

His “due date” — scheduled euthanasia — was April 1. (Maybe we should call him Fool.) Instead of euthanasia, he can now look forward to a life of getting petted, eating fresh produce, and tolerating the dog, who thinks we brought the bunny home just for him.

Are you sure it’s a bunny?  It looks more like an armadillo in a grubby old blanket.

Is this where you find the gray is because he’s the rabbittian equivalent of 99.9 years old and requires a million dollars of vetinary maintenance before he very inconveniently dies?

Paul: Well, he is living next to the two-thousand-dollar guinea pig.

Phil: we heard the story of a pet armadillo on the radio as we were heading for the pet store.

He looks like he is covered in polarfleece. How about Fleece as a name?

    Or Synchilla?

Too cute for words, Chris. That’s one lucky bunny.

Quite the Eminence Grise, isn’t he? (Or she?) Clearly a bunny with influence, one of the greater social consciousnesses. I can’t think of a hame for him/her, why don’t you ask him/her?

I don’t dare go into pet stores, for just this reason.  I wouldn’t have been able to walk past His Eminence Earl Grise, either.

Bunny!  Oh, he is just splendid.  Looks like he has some Rex in him.  I like the “fleece” theme too.  Polartec?  Malden?

    What a lucky rabbit.  :)
