And still there when I left work to go home.

I think Josie needed to walk out just in time to see you driving away with her dog.

SHIT!  What was the temperature that day?  (I assume not too high, otherwise you would have been breaking windows not taking pictures.)

Yeah, it’s time to bite Josie.

Oh, poor thing!

The temperature was cool and the dog was parked in a spot that’s shady all day.

Also, I worked a four-hour shift. So there’s that to keep in mind.

A window was open, but it was a window in the front of the car, and the sweet face there was confined to the back: no direct breeze.

Anyway. If I was going to leave a dog in a car for four hours or more, that’s a spot I’d have picked. And it may have been a desperate response to an urgent situation.

But yeah, I was pissed off. Still wondering whether I should have called the cops, but the dog did seem comfortable and alert and OK. If desolate and sad.

Who knows where was Josie?

Maybe she fell down the stairs and knock herself out…and only woke up at night.

Maybe she came back a few times to check on the dog and to apologies for taking so long.

Maybe she was getting high in order to forget that she had been severely beaten the night before by her pusher/pimp/boyfriend.

Maybe she was trying to find a new and loving family for her dog because she is too busy having 2 parts jobs and 2 kids to look after…

Maybe she was meeting her girl, while her man thought she was walking the dog

Maybe Josie was the “one” sitting in the car bored waiting for Jack.

An image is worth a thousand words…but which ones are telling the real storie?
