Mather Point, May 18, 2005
Had I been thinking clearly, I would have gotten more of the photographer in this shot. She was somewhat photogenic. Not to mention being a photographer after my own heart: the best scenery in the world just feet away, and there she was taking a photo of a rodent.
We had a nice conversation about human-habituated wildlife, and I related my story about the Bright Angel Trail bighorn sheep. She was clever and bright-eyed. I’m afraid you’ll just have to imagine it.
