Mojave storm

A hastily assembled set of clips from July 2005, Cima Dome campsite, fuzzed up gratuitously by YouTube.

This is about the pacing of a typical day at Cima Dome, except much faster.

Who is the bird at the end?

Sage sparrow would be my guess, from the weaving and bobbing of the tail.

Was tempted to think it kestrel due to blue and red, but I think that’s just telephoto lens chromatic aberration.

And sounds like YouTube messed up the last minute and a half of audio. Dammit.

Yes, wonderful and restful.  I thought perhaps there was something wrong with my connection when the audio dropped.  Regardless, it was beautiful.

mmm, lovely, goes great with morning cuppa…

(arvo part is possibly my very favorite composer; now I’m going to have to haul out those CDs and have a part-fest.)
