More than a year…

... since the world has had Carla in it, and I still haven’t found the right person to complain to.

I'm sorry, but the comment period for this entry has ended.

Chris, your posts about the people in your life help the rest of us — me, anyway — to remember as well.  So when you find the complaint department, please let me know.  I have a few of my own to register.

Chris, this post reminds me of a wonderful woman who does radio programming at KZSC 88.1 on the campus of UCSC. Rose Lobel has a severe case of cerebral palsy and is probably the only voice-disabled programmer in the country. You can hear her live-streaming on Tuesdays between noon and 2:00 pm. She’s had the show for years. When I was the assistant director of student media on campus, I was the print advisor, but I thought I should know something about broadcast (the other half of our program), so I took the class and was mentored by Rose. It was a remarkable experience. I hadn’t thought of it in years, but your story of Carla reminded me of another strong vibrant woman with cerebral palsy.
