Just a shot from my hike today, taken from the summit of Briones Peak, that came out well enough that I wanted to share it. Came out well enough, that is, despite my having to sidle over the the left so that the sun would drop behind the live oak, thus reducing lens flare down to the point where you can almost ignore it.
In case you’re wondering what it looked like behind me as I took that shot, this is what it looked like behind me as I took that shot. The big mountain in the distance is Mount Diablo, which I have lately gotten into the habit of climbing. Briones Peak is about 1450 feet in elevation, more than 2000 feet lower than Diablo, insignificant enough that only Pennsylvanians would consider it a mountain.
