Still alive

My god, I am tired.

We have been working to put Earth Island Journal out this week. We ship to the printer on Wednesday. I’ve been finishing up my border article (far too late for comfort) and need to write my editorial and a review and edit 40,000 words of other people’s writing and supervise interns and be at least moderately helpful to Ron as she copyedits and well, my brain feels like it has been scrubbed raw and set out to dry.

Things may be quiet around here for a bit. I want to write here, and I’ve actually started about three posts, but I run out of steam at the third sentence. It’s eight inch bucket into a two-inch-deep pool time.

I can say that I had a great dinner with regular CRN visitor Ann Bartow last night in Oakland. She’s hilarious. Bright point of my week. Great to meet you in the flesh, Ann.

I'm sorry, but the comment period for this entry has ended.

Wimp. I used to help put out six editions a day.

On my own charrette, here, Avian Flu School ready for them to take to Tanzania on Monday. But we’re getting in a SF Mime Troupe trip on Sunday in Berkeley, I think. Unless unimaginable things happen.

Courage with all those words, and give Ron a bit of Ethiopian food, it’s good for long-distance runners like you guys....

It’s impossible to blog when you have other writing to do. (I don’t mean other writing to AVOID doing. Then blogging is imposible to stop!) At a certain point, you have to clamp down and actually get things in by deadline. Good Luck !! Get a good night’s sleep before you start posting again.

Same here, Chris.  Very fun to meet and hang out with you.  Happy to host you anytime you’re in SC.

Oh this is so disconcerting.  Berube said you would be in charge of all environmental matters in relation to the great ‘left’over debate.  And i was hoping to be given proper eco-responsible advise regarding my dinner decision to have the left overs from last night.  I suppose i will have to wait until the Journal comes out for those tips.

Dude, you totally qualify if you are interested:
