I'm sorry, but the comment period for this entry has ended.

About time, wouldn’t you say?

And I’m glad to see you’re back! Last I heard, you had quit blogging. Which is not a snarky accusation of flipfloppery—I think everyone should quit early and often and then quit the quit. I’ll come around more often.

I’m assuming you’re using “median” in the English major sense of the word—“one of those statistical functions” because using “mean” plain don’t scan: The Internet’s Mean IQ Just Went Up Three Points.

Then again, maybe “Median” is supposed to drag us past “Mean” to “Mean-ing” and we’re looking at one of those long latin words for pun, the most humorless form of humor. This whole day’s been dizzy.

No, I just made a mistake.

He just means that I’m mean. Therefore the Internet is 3 points meaner.

Oh, see, my first comment here and all I want to do is make a lousy joke.  Story of my life, I tell ya.

See, it’s like this:

Amanda French has a blog
E I E I O
And on that blog she has a poem
E I E I O
with a metaphor here
and a metaphor there
Amanda French has a blog
E I E I O

And this is why I avoid commenting on blogs of people I like.  I’m just too silly to be allowed on the internet.

I am officially giving this blog to Anna. Thank you.

Doth this mean we get more vilanelles???

He just means that I’m mean. Therefore the Internet is 3 points meaner.

Or at least the quintile of infantile arbitrary vile has been countered by a sharp and incisively-edged wit, that raises the mean factor by positive values of schadenfreude. Because, goll darnit, those mean bastards are gonna get theirs now.
