Tikaboo Valley

Is this looking northwest? Hwy 375/76 then up to 305 all the way to I-80 is one of my most favorite trips through Nevada. Between 50 and 80 i have seen golden eagles and pronghorn. But down in the lakes east in Tikaboo Valley are some of the best flyway stopovers that i know of for migrating waterfowl. Really quite stunning in the late winter.

This is indeed looking northwest, just where 375 heads east toward Alamo and the giant high-speed unmarked road heads southwest toward a military base that does not, officially, exist, and I was standing more or less in the center of the area shown here..

i just thought i recognized the large hills (are they really to be called mountains) in the distance. That town out east, Caliente, is pretty cool, but i do prefer to go north on 376 as i said.
