I'm sorry, but the comment period for this entry has ended.

Alive is good.

Hey there, Zeke! It’s VERY good to see you. How’s that human of yours?

Quit turning me into a dog person!

Oh yes, I am a good doggie. I am an old baby, but that’s the best kind.

Hi Zeke!  Looking good.

Sweet old dog.  He’s still OK, right?  This is just a routine update?

great to see him again. always on my mind.

ZEKE! Howza good boy?!

Nice pic of a great dog, Chris.

Wish I’d had the sense to take my camera along when I was there.

Still the master of his plate, still the captain of his bowl.

Hee—

Good boy!

Thank you, Chris.

Good Zeke.

Aww. Zeke rules. Sending lots of love and doggie hugs.

Hello, Zeke. It’s awfully good to see you.

Wow; is that a recent photo?  Because he looks fantastic!

Hiya, Zeke!  We’ve missed you like crazy.  And your human, we’ve missed him, too.

The photo is about a year old, but Zeke is just as alive as the day I took it.

In fact, I got a reminder today from his vet that in only eleven months, he’s due for his 3-year rabies booster. Which will hold him until he’s almost twenty.

Quit turning me into a dog person!

But you’re such a fetching young thing, ilyka! It’s only right.

Good to see you, Zeke!

Chris:  Zeke:
We walked at nine.We started at eight.
I was on time.  No, you were late.
Ah yes!  I remember it well.

That dazzling April moon!
There was none that night,
And the month was June.
That’s right!  That’s right!
It warms my heart to know that
you remember still the way you do.
Ah yes!  I remember it well.

How often I’ve thought of that Friday,Monday
night,
when we had our creekside adventure.
And somehow I’ve foolishly wondered
if you might by some chance be
thinking of it too?

That Diablo hike.  It was Sonoran.
You lost a collar.I lost a bone.
Ah yes!  I remember it well.

That brilliant sky.It poured down rain.
Those meteor showers.  they filled flood plain.
Ah yes!  I remember it well.

You coat was shiny and nose was wet.
I was freezing cold.
Am I getting old?Oh no!  Not you!
How kind you’ve been,
how proud and caring;
A prince of healing
and so too sharing.
Ah yes!  I remember it well.
No you don’t, keep walking.

aw, good to see ya, zekie!  and you too, chris.

Pics of Zeke always cheer me up!

Zeke is a beautiful boy. xoxo
