Red Rock Canyon Sunset

Red Rock Evening Storm

Funny you should post these today.  I just spent part of last week camped and hiking around there before heading east into Arizona.  The geology simply blows me away.  Was also there for a couple of nights a few weeks ago and went to a talk given by Dr. Whistler, regarding his fifty years of work there.  Super.  The camping experience was a bit difficult as I’m not much used to being around people, but certainly no complaints about the view, or the flora and fauna around the park.

Last night I holed up in an area with no fire possible due to location and rain. It seemed like 11pm, but it was really 6, so I started flipping through books on the phone. Got to Zeke and started at the point where you’re arriving at Red Rock Canyon only to find the campground washed out. And while I was reading that…you were there. That’s weird.

Quick, what number am I thinking of? Waaay off. Ok, coincidence after all.

A gorgeous photo, Chris a real stunner. I love the subtlety of the colours.
