Not that the fascists are ramping up their rhetoric or anything

Sasha at Left in SF took the photo at left — of a sticker affixed to a parked SUV —  in Crissy Field. Which is in San Francisco. Photo taken on Gay Pride Weekend.

But of course we need to be circumspect and polite and obsequious when we talk about politics. How horrible it was that Dick Durbin compared torturers to Nazis. We really owe the conservatives an apology for that one. Let’s just keep apologizing right up until they load us onto the cattle cars.

I wonder how one could find out who belongs to a black Nissan XTerra, California license plate 4VYX168?

I used to have a t-shirt that said, “Lobotomies for Republicans. It’s the law.”

It doesn’t fit anymore, but nowdays I’m afraid I’d get shot wearing it anyway, liberal hunting permits or not.

    Chris,

I saw a similar thing advertised last year and blogged it here.  Take a look.

It was one of my most trafficked and commented posts up to then because it generated comments from right wingnuts, which occasioned my putting this up.

They -and yes there is a “they”- don’t seem to understand how divisive and threatening such a thing can be.  Or they don’t care.  You pick.

I hate how the right wing say and do what they will yet anyone else has to apologize for anything.

    F’n Nazis

Republicans don’t need lobotomies—they’re born without their frontal lobes…

Does this mean I am a bad person for having spent a few moments trying to distill the following idea down to a more catchy t-shirt slogan?

“Help lessen our dependency on foreign oil — Burn a republican today.”

“Republicans: Proving that travelling into the past IS possible”

    I make it about 1935, and I don’t mean 25 minutes to 7.

I loathe the T-shirts and slogans of both “sides” as they do little to further intelligent debate, instead adding to the shrill cries from either side of the picket lines, but…

...that bumper sticker is fu*king ridiculous!  What a piece of sh*t.  You’ll have to pardon my French, but I’m pretty pissed.

I’m not sure why we are surprised to find extremists on either side, or stupid people, or insensitive jerks.  They exist, they have political leanings, and they don’t represent the views of those they lean with.

hate the driver, not the whole parking lot.  :)

At first glance, I thought it was ironic.

Really, I did.  Sometimes I horrify myself.

Funny, how so many liberals seem to need to apologize for everything and so many conservatives seem to apologize to no man. Perhaps it’s because many liberals live on the (theoretical) nice guy image, and many conservatives couldn’t care less if they look nice, as long as they look Right?

Ugh… just thinking about that makes my brain hurt.
