Having Googled well, I think that tapeta would be a mixed blessing for astronomers: they would increase our ability to investigate spectra of faint objects, but reduce our ability to discern detail in their spatial structures.

I’m looking forward to seeing what they will do for my appreciation of your words.

    Congrats!

Is the poem about the grinding stones in there?

As an utterly non-biased, completely neutral third party, I’d like to give A Tapetum Knowledge a major thumbs up!  (In all honesty, it’s a gorgeous, thoughtful read - and as someone who is typically not interested in poetry, it’s a revelation.)
