I just found a blog I’ll be tracking:
The Voltage Gate is a blog about ecology and the creative process, a look at two disciplines both in isolation and through the lens of the other. Here you will find reviews of current and foundational ecological research, original illustrations and fiction, as well as commentary on modern aesthetics and culture.
Looks good, and since it’s been going for nearly four years I’m a little embarrassed I haven’t seen it until now.
In other good blog news — by which I mean news about good blogs — On The Public Record has an important post up entitled Seven Feet of Sea Level Rise, which contains some educated discussion of what such a rise would mean for California’s Central Valley (basically, we should start coming up with names for the new semihaline sea between Sacramento and Tracy). Good stuff, though scary. Read it.

Hey Chris, just wanted to say thanks for the link and the kind words. Good to be blogging again after such a long break.
You’re welcome, Jeremy. I’ll be reading.
