    The bright green shrubbery is Ericameria, if I remember right, and I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some Yucca baccata hidden in there as well. As you know, Sven, that stretch of California/Nevada desert along the Colorado is the place where those two yuccas’ ranges overlap.
